Our Story

Hominco wasn't created overnight—it began with a childhood memory that has stayed with me ever since.

In 2003, my family moved to the United Kingdom. Before we arrived, my mum had worked incredibly hard to buy our first home. It was one of the proudest moments for our family, but when we walked through the front door, the house was far from what anyone would call inviting. The walls were painted bright orange, the carpets were green, and every room felt tired and dated.

At just 12 or 13 years old, I spent weekends helping strip wallpaper, pull up old carpets, repaint walls, and slowly transform the house alongside my family. Looking back, I didn't realise it at the time, but those moments were my first introduction to interior design and home styling.

As the months turned into years, I watched our house change completely. What started as a dated property gradually became a warm and welcoming family home. That experience taught me something I still believe today: creating a home isn't something you finish in a weekend. A home grows with you, changes with you, and is never truly finished.

What fascinated me most wasn't always the big renovations. It was seeing how one carefully chosen piece—a lamp, a cushion, a vase, or a decorative accessory—could completely change the atmosphere of a room. Sometimes, it only took one small addition to make a space finally feel complete.

That experience stayed with me throughout my life.

I promised myself that one day I would create a store that helped other people experience that same feeling—the feeling of walking into a room that truly feels like home.

In 2023, that vision became a reality, and Hominco was born.

Today, every product we select is chosen with the same philosophy: to offer unique home décor that brings character, warmth, and personality into every home. We don't believe in filling homes with unnecessary clutter. We believe every piece should have a purpose, tell a story, and help transform a house into a home.

Why the Name Hominco?

Choosing the right name wasn't easy. We explored countless ideas, testing different words and combinations, but nothing truly reflected the feeling we wanted our brand to represent.

Eventually, we landed on Hominco.

The name simply felt right. It was memorable, easy to say, and had a natural flow that stayed with you. More importantly, it represented everything we wanted our brand to stand for—a place centred around home, comfort, creativity, and thoughtful design.

Today, Hominco represents our belief that every home deserves character. Whether it's a statement piece that catches your eye or a subtle finishing touch that quietly transforms a room, our goal is to help you create a home that feels uniquely yours.
